Behind the 'digital curtain'

I was watching a clip from the View, yes I did throw up a little in my mouth, thanks for asking, and was exposed to a new and relevant term, ‘digital curtain’. I especially like this word choice as it smacks of old-school references to the ‘iron-curtain’ and some interesting parallels can be drawn.

Never in a free country like America could we be compared to the stranglehold on public discourse the communists suffer? Of course not! But the similarities are mounting daily!

There are basically two sides in America, the red and the blue. The differences have changed throughout the years. For instance, the blue used to be for free speech. The blue used to be for family values. The blue used to be for borders, bold growth, and a better life for all its voters.

I’m not sure why, but they have radically changed all of those positions! I hear some disagreements from the peanut gallery? Let’s go over each one.

I’ll save ‘free speech’ for the last as it is the topic that ties this all together and I am in the rambling phase here to keep you stimulated.

In response to the blue party supporting family values, I can easily show attempts to redefine families into dystopian units encouraging broken homes, and law-breaking aliens being welcomed into the core of American family.

I am not saying we should not be humane, but actually giving a 'border-crasher' preferential treatment over an alien that applied for, studied, and is waiting for their citizenship, is a current blue party thing!

This is why many immigrants are flocking to the red party. If family values are going to thrive, they need to be nurtured, not threatened as is happening more every day.

The blue party also seems to think school teachers should be allowed to decide how much the parents have to say about their kids' education. Somewhere the blue party decided although parents vote school officials into office, they lose the ability to oversee how those school board members operate.

So much so, that the blue party has officially labeled angry parents as domestic terrorists! This is a gigantic blow to family values. I could go on, but for this presentation, I will move on.

The blue party used to be for borders? Yep. Obama himself gave speeches about the importance of our country’s sovereignty. Now the blue party is so much in need of a fresh infusion of needy people they have flung open the gates and invited the poorest immigrants in the world to ‘come one, come all’ into our voting block.

Voting block? Undocumented immigrants cannot vote. That is another radical change the blue party is working to incorporate. The first stage is to argue that they are here and their kids go to our schools so why shouldn’t they be allowed to vote in school business? After the blue party gets that change then why not city elections. They live in the city and should have a voice.

You can clearly see the end game is national elections and to shore up the erosion caused by blue party voters staying true to the 'old blue party' ideals. These border-crashers are mostly undereducated, unfortunates that will vote blue as that is the party that brought them in.

But, as they become more self-sufficient they will migrate to the red party but that won’t happen for a while especially if the blue party continues to degrade the economy, and hold back low and middle-class growth.

Wait a minute! That’s a bold statement to make! How is the blue party holding back the low and middle-class? By giving them money printed out of thin air for starters. Giving money under any pretense discourages working for money to a large segment, (certainly not all), that only works if absolutely necessary.

If you don’t believe that just ask yourself why all those small ‘mom & pop’ stores shuttered after two stimulus checks? Answer; when the employees got their stimulus checks they up and quit!

As I said there is a large group that would not work a day in their lives if they could have a place to stay and afford a supply of Ramen noodles, which is a blue party politician’s dream!

What if the blue-controlled government could supply free housing and food, from money printed from thin air? This is their ultimate goal. To survive you would have to keep them in office, and they would have total control! This is the quintessential pipedream of the new radical blue party.

The red party would be the first to point out this will not work. Money printed without any backing is only as important as the country making it. If that country has 350,000,000 people barely surviving/starving because there are few/no businesses operating because few/none want to work, how are you going to create a strong world economy?

If you don’t sell anything, even if you grow your own food through government farms, how will you protect yourself from foreign conquest? How would your money be worth anything anywhere outside your country? How would people travel? And I am sure the majority would vote blue for fear of starving thus perpetuating their own problem.

It could be argued that minorities are doing that today. The real solution is hard work, freedom, and family values and is held out at arms-length as a carrot on a stick by the blue party. Just a little more, and you will have the life you have yearned, for over a hundred years.

When they finally wake up and see the carrot is on the end of a stick and they are never getting closer, they try the red party and find real improvement.

Now on to ‘free speech and the main point of this article. The newly offered term ‘digital-curtain’ helps me illustrate how today’s American version of the iron-curtain really works.

The red party has an ultimate flaw in its thinking. It believes with all its heart that we should never allow government regulation of private business. The vast majority of the red party is willing to overlook the ‘weapons-of-mass media' that has been built right under their noses.

Those weapons are doing more damage to our Constitution’s 1st Amendment than we could ever have imagined, but still, the red party cannot ‘pull the trigger’ and regulate them.

Truth be told there are several reasons. One is belief in freedom. Another is the weapons-of-mass media's creators have become so powerful they influence the legislators with money (for their districts, and pockets) and power (threat of losing, and enticement of gaining position in politics).

For whatever reason, these historically dangerous weapons have not only unified with each other, but also with the blue party!

Let’s compare their impact on our ‘digital curtain’ with the communist iron curtain. The iron curtain effectively sealed the people of communist countries in, so they could not see the ‘big picture. This seems impossible in the free country of America!

Although these ‘weapons’ are private businesses, Facebook, Twitter, Google, and a myriad of satellites they, and Amazon have bought, collectively. They, this handful of private businesses have current control of virtually every digital American!

That is to say, if you own a digital device, computer, phone, tablet, doorbell, AI’s like Alexa, Hey Google, Siri, Bixby and literally a thousand more devices, THEY, the weapons-of-mass media have you by the throat.

One point the red party has not seen is they tricked their way into power. They started out as services and systematically worked their way into control. I for one, if told how it would have turned out 10 or 15 years later would have never climbed on board, but today if you elect to leave these weapon’s platforms you are committing digital suicide.

New alternative platforms are being started with much fanfare, but let us talk real numbers here.

Facebook has 240 Million users just in the U.S.!
(2.85Billion Worldwide!)

There are only 290 Million mobile phone users in the U.S. and since 77% of US kids own a smartphone, we can say of the 290 Million there are 23 Million 12-17 years olds so about 18 Million kids have smartphones. We subtract 18 from 290 and get 272 Million voting-aged mobile phone users.

Just one-fifth of the ‘weapons-of-mass media cabal has 88% of ALL of the mobile phone users in the U.S.! Not just AT&T users but Verizon, T-Mobile, and all other providers combined! To be crystal clear, Facebook alone has the ears and eyes of 88% of all smartphone communication in America!

To call Facebook a ‘private company’ is like calling the World Economic Forum a social club!

Even today our phone providers are regulated by two national agencies (the FDA and FCC) and more locally by public service commissions. Through what logic should companies sending more communications daily than any two regulated phone companies not have the same regulation?

Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube seem to have cleverly skirted those limitations and have pretty much full control within obvious legal parameters, to do what they want. They can augment posts/content, they can delete posts/content. They can change rules, judge the definitions of rules, and suspend or expel anyone, even the President of the United States.

As if working in concert, Google removes the Parler app from its ‘Play Store’, Apple removes the Parler app from its ‘App Store’ and another of those weapons-of-mass media unceremoniously jerked away from the Internet ‘real estate that the red-leaning platform was using to counter the blue propaganda.

The weapon is called AWS (Amazon Web Services). AWS, in a matter of hours, silenced Millions of posts by red party voters! The platform was doubling and tripling subscribers until the weapons-of-mass media launched their destructive volleys.

The desired solution of a level playing field is at least five years away and may never happen as this weapons-of-mass media cabal is strangling free speech worldwide.

If you only hear one side or worse both sides according to one political point of view, you can never hope to find a level, common ground. As long as the weapons-of-mass media rule we are living behind the digital curtain.

Yes, you can find stories that oppose the blue party, but statistically, they are at twenty-to-one. You can search and find them, but most voters will be influenced without trying to search, heavily in the designed direction toward the blue party, thanks almost entirely to the weapons-of-mass media.
