First of all, my hair is not on fire. I will say that there could be credence to the theory that we all live within a futuristic video game. The evidence is that we have made crazy progress in virtual reality in only ten or twenty years. What if we are a product of what virtual reality becomes thousands of years in what we perceive as our future?
The first argument is we have scientific proof of our history. Well, if we are in a uber-ultra-mega simulation we could be only aware of the history that was programmed. So, science may not be our best yardstick.
Why do some believe this crazy fantasy? Because we are staring at a brick wall. Nothing makes total sense scientifically, unless you open up the parameters to reality. The atheist has yet to explain how it all began? Even if you subscribe to the Big Bang Theory, which by the day is losing credibility, the elephant in the room is what was there, before there? Was there no there, there?
Currently the world’s leading minds are discovering (with visual and sensorial proof through data from the James Webb space telescope), we were very wrong about the previous ‘settled science’ concerning the age of the Universe. The smartest on the planet once believed the Earth was the center of the Universe, the World was flat, the atom was the smallest unit of mass, and hundreds of other fallacies.
The point driven home successfully I might add, is we really don’t know anything for certain. One thing Covid brought out, is there is no such thing as ‘settled science’.
Science, by its nature is always questioning itself. Not necessarily true for all the people called scientists, as they have financial frailty and desire for power as motivators to warp the progress, put up roadblocks so other scientist could not use their data against them and have taken science off its true course, the most obvious example is playing out today in big pharma.
Back to topic, I sometimes wander. The only way science gets out of this conundrum, is admitting there is such thing as magic, by today’s standards. We are theorizing that there is an undetectable ‘ether’ that fills the vacuum of space and data seems to support that idea. If there are elements in play that we cannot detect, then magic is back on the board!
God is magic by definition. I don’t mean a cheap parlor trick, but real, way above our grade-level, magic! Dare scientists try and sort out the roadmap of God? If there is just one reality, all roads should lead there. Is the giant video game just another way to come upon God?
Every path must include magic. No believer in God thinks God was created. What atheist believes there was a beginning before the beginning? Scientists strangely search for a genesis, as our DNA was imprinted with the belief that everything has a beginning and an end.
Slowly science is coming to the ultimate conclusion, the only way this works is if our total existence, beyond the limitations of just the massive Universe ‘is’, and ‘always was’. Call that what you may, but a futuristic video game works just as well as any current idea out there.
I was the Production Director. I edited (spliced with a razor blade and tape) reel to reel audio tape and made magic, (commercials and contest promos). To maintain my energy I brought a gallon of orange juice into the studio every day and it was gone five hours later when my show was over. Funny, I don't recall ever getting the Flu when I was there.. 🙄😎
The reason there's only the parts where I talk and not the whole song is because the boss, (the Program Director) required us to record 'skimmer tapes' that only run when our mic is open, so he could yell at us for anything he thought was wrong. LOL
